My practice explores a variety of media including collage, text, installation and photography all which investigate issues surrounding our gendered identities, motherhood, power, money, control and vulnerability. My process is often autobiographical, exploring my own feelings toward my experiences of being woman, a single mother and an artist. With this exploration comes an investigation into our perceptions of the maternal role in art history and contemporary culture, the relationships between power and gender, and the pressures society places on us to 'succeed' in all its forms.
